Two ladies created a line of tees made for VAIN patients—you know, the ones totally aware of their appearance despite their physical condition.
The brainchild of two real New York housewives, Pam Corby and Julie Papa, DIgNI-tee is changing the way patients look and feel in and out of the hospital. Their line of tees available in black, raspberry, chocolate and moss green, are 100% cotton, lightweight and lined with plastic snaps down the sides and arms for easy access. Corby, who was involved in a debilitating car crash in 1980, wore hospital gowns frequently and found a void in the extended care community, “…An attractive hospital gown. Without fail, the days I felt more like myself were always my better ones,” Corby stated.
The DIgNI-tee is currently being sold online www.ivwear.com in post-mastectomy stores along the East Coast, as well as hospital gift shops, pharmacies and surgical supply stores. These machine-washable and eco-friendly tees retail for $30.
