The editor-in-chief of VAIN is a middle child who goes by her birth name, Rachelle Gauthier. The Haitian and Chinese entrepreneur founded VAIN not just because she enjoys attention, but she’s a wild, yet tame girl that felt the need to create a publication that pays attention to all types of women (the artist, the guru, the good, the bad, the ugly, the lazy, the fashionable, the driven, the responsible and even the ones who are slightly self-absorbed). Before VAIN, she managed the editorial, photography and art departments of several leading niche magazines at Harris Publications (Rides, 0-60, XXL presents: Hip-Hop Soul IV and Donk, Box & Bubbles) and worked for one of the first successful urban fashion lines Mecca USA. Rachelle has a background in anthropology from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY and once aimed to be a forensic anthropologist. She will be delivering sharp editorial content that empowers and inspires women and is somewhat self-indulging while managing more people, products, companies and foundations via her other venture, Miss Management Inc.
